It is the return of a large number of Gigantamax Pokémon, this event is live from June 2nd till June 29th, and in this event, you can fight up to 22 different Gigantamax Pokémon, some of which are version exclusive, I will list which ones you can fight in which version.
Sword: Gengar, Kingler, Lapras, Garbodor, Corviknight, Appletun, Toxtricity (Amped Form), Centiskorch, Grimmsnarl, Alcremie, Duraludon
Shield: Charizard, Butterfree, Machamp, Orbeetle, Drednaw, Coalossal, Flapple, Sandaconda, Toxtricity (Low-Key Form), Hatterene, Copperajah

Those are all the Gigantamax Pokémon that you can fight, Snorlax is also one of the opponents, and it can be fought in both versions, and the form of Toxtricity is dependant on version.
Before starting this video, I show that I have obtained the Galar Starters with their Hidden Abilities, so yes, they are finally available. Grookey has Grassy Surge, Scorbunny has Libero, which is basically Protean in which it can change its type depending on the move used, and Sobble has Sniper, so I am sure this will change the competitive scene around entirely. To obtain them, you have to deposit a Pokémon from this game to Pokémon HOME, and then check Mystery Gift on the Mobile version, and you can obtain the Galar Starters.
While Cinderace is a top tier Pokémon in the competitive scene, Libero will make that thing even more unpredictable, as Cinderace does have a high Speed stat, while Rillaboom can see more usage on teams due to Grassy Surge, but for Inteleon, the only move it gets with a high chance of critical hits is its signature Snipe Shot, but when playing Single Battles, you are better off with Surf, Hydro Pump, or Scald, as Inteleon's Snipe Shot is base 80 power.
It will take a lot of description space to go over every Gigantamax Pokémon, so the best I could do is explain about their G-Max Moves and effects, I will go through each one in National Dex order.
Charizard: G-Max Wildfire (A Fire-type move that continues to deal damage to non-Fire-type opponents for 4 turns)
Butterfree: G-Max Befuddle (A Bug-type move that inflicts poison, paralysis, or sleep to opponents)
Machamp: G-Max Chi Strike (A Fighting-type move that raises the chance of critical hits)
Gengar: G-Max Terror (A Ghost-type move that prevents opponents from escaping)
Kingler: G-Max Foam Burst (A Water-type move that harshly lowers the opponents' Speed)
Lapras: G-Max Resonance (An Ice-type move that activates Aurora Veil for 5 turns)
Snorlax: G-Max Replenish (A Normal-type move that restores its held Berry when eaten)
Garbodor: G-Max Malodor (A Poison-type move that poisons opponents)
Corviknight: G-Max Wind Rage (A Flying-type move that removes screens)
Orbeetle: G-Max Gravitas (A Psychic-type move that changes gravity for 5 turns)
Drednaw: G-Max Stonesurge (A Water-type move that scatters sharp rocks on the opposing side)

Grimmsnarl: G-Max Snooze (A Dark-type move that inflicts the effects of Yawn to opponents)
Alcremie: G-Max Finale (A Fairy-type move that heals the HP of teammates)
Copperajah: G-Max Steelsurge (A Steel-type move that scatters sharp spikes on the opposing side)
Duraludon: G-Max Depletion (A Dragon-type move that reduces the PP of the last move used)
