If you have Pokemon Sword or Shield and its DLC, you can make a full team of level 70 legendary Pokemon from previous generations early in the game, and trounce most of the rest of the game with them. It'll make things too easy, but you know, sometimes that can be fun for a change.

Play through the early game until the train ride to the wild area. Make sure you've bought a bunch of Pokeballs. Run up and talk to Hop I think, after the train ride when you're just entering the Wild Area, and you'll talk a while and see a video of the wild area and be instructed to train up and head to Motostoke. But instead of that, you can take the train back to Wedgehurst and find Klara at the train station (assuming you have the DLC ... if you don't have the DLC then this won't work).

Talk to Klara, and then battle and catch a level 12 Isle of Armor Slowpoke. It may be higher level than your team but it shouldn't be too hard to catch. Then talk to the other person nearby and ask to board the train to the Crown Tundra.

You'll find Peony with two level 70 Pokemon at the Crown Tundra. I don't think you'll be able to win, unless you have some crafty strategy, but after losing to Peony you're free to explore the Crown Tundra. Head a little ways to the Max Lair (it's pretty close), avoiding the tall grass and Pokemon since they're way too tough at this point.

The raid battles at the Max Lair are completely playable and winnable at this point, except the gen 7 Ultra Beasts aren't available until you've done much more in the Crown Tundra questline (you won't be able to do that yet). You can easily win level 65 evolved Pokemon at the Max Lair, and if you do well you can win level 70 legendaries.

There is nothing stopping you from catching a full team at the Max Lair and taking them back into the normal game (gym challenge and all). In addition, in the Max Lair you'll win Dynite Ore which you can trade for (among other things) big exp. candies you could use to level your starter or other Pokemon way up.

I think 30 legendary Pokemon are available in the Max Lair at this early point in Pokemon Sword. Pokemon Shield probably has the same number, but not all the same ones.

Heh, I've already played through Sword once with a team like this, and it was kinda fun. Even by the end, almost all of the battles are very easy this way.
