Lots of things I'm excited about. Especially the new PRS CE 24 that I recently picked up! Definitely the best guitar I've played yet, hands down. I also FINALLY picked up studio monitors. So after mixing on headphones for GOD KNOWS HOW LONG, I finally have a good audio reference that won't drive me insane after long periods of time.
Also, I think Pokemon TCG on the Game Boy Color actually has one of the best soundtracks ever. I find that it gets overlooked since it's a spin-off game. Definitely a great example of a game that gets the most out of the Game Boy sound...card...chip....thingy. Yeah. That thing.
This song in particular was simple to learn, but hard to execute since it requires me to play really tightly. But I'm happy that I only recorded this in only a couple days! Fastest since my Splattack cover, which was done in less than a day believe it or not! I also usually play my stuff in dropped D or standard, but I found that those guitar tunings didn't fit this song. So on a whim I tried out DADGAD tuning and it worked great! It definitely inspired the guitar solo I threw into the song, since it was pretty fun to play around in an unfamiliar tuning.
