So welcome to my absolute least favourite set of all time. Evolutions is a visual mess, prolly the ugliest set ever printed, which is a giant throwback to the original Base Set with none of the highlights of the original. There are maybe half a dozen cards in the whole thing worth considering, many of which not at the time of release, and most of the others don't even remotely resemble their original counterparts. It's just astonishing how one can mess up this badly! The final set of a generation has traditionally been quite bad, but this might be the worst of all time.

The Promos are the only real standout here, but even they are marred by literally unplayable cards due to poor release times - Rotation makes 3 of them literally unusable, whereas others were desperately needed a season ago. Combine this with a couple of nasty side-effects of said rotation and there are a lot of problems for the early portions of the 2017 format. Let's just see how it all goes I guess!
