Here are the Pokémon selected for this match, I am using Talonflame in this match, so that is one of the five starting Pokémon that I have used in this game, and Talonflame being the Speedster style, I will list the other players.
Faalkoning - Alolan Ninetales
alaskaribou - Snorlax
AnnaHilaki - Wigglytuff
yoimDan - Gengar

The opponent's team of Pokémon
MATTÉO1 - Gardevoir
lucas678 - Blissey
Kaweyt - Venusaur
MyProfil - Charizard
Trainer7j - Greninja

One thing I didn't notice is that the five starting Pokémon in this game represent each style, Charizard being the All-Rounder, Pikachu is the Attacker, Eldegoss is a Supporter, Snorlax is the Defender, and Talonflame is the Speedster, I never even noticed it until now.
Another announcement, Blastoise will finally be added into Pokémon UNITE as a playable character on September 1st, so the wait will be over, because we had Gardevoir and Blissey in past updates, and they did announce Sylveon and Mamoswine will be coming soon, but they didn't announce the dates for them.
I could go over Talonflame, it is a Speedster, Novice, and Melee style character that uses Physical moves, it starts off matches as Fletchling, its basic move becomes a boosted attack for every third attack, creating a fiery whirlwind that deals damage to opposing Pokémon in its area of effect, and it remains readied even if Talonflame leaves combat for a prolonged period of time after its first two basic attacks.
For its starting moves, it will have Peck or Acrobatics, I recommend starting with Acrobatics, Fletchling is best used in the Middle Lane, as it does have a weak start, so I recommend grinding there until Level 7 where it is fully evolved into Talonflame. Peck has Fletchling fly towards the opposing Pokémon and attack three times, and Acrobatics has Fletchling attack multiple times, and allows it to escape in a direction of choice after using this move, Acrobatics is more powerful, but it has more cooldown than Peck.
At Level 5, Fletchling will evolve into Fletchinder, and it will learn Flame Charge or Aerial Ace, which replace Peck. Flame Charge is a dash attack that deals damage to opposing Pokémon, and it increases Fletchinder's movement speed, and Aerial Ace has it fly towards the opposing Pokémon and deal damage, and the next basic attack used by Fletchinder is a boosted attack.
At Level 7, Fletchinder will evolve into Talonflame, and it will learn Fly or Brave Bird, they replace Acrobatics. Fly has Talonflame fly up high into the sky, and when used again, it will dive down to its designated area and attack, and Brave Bird has Talonflame jump in range to the opponent and causes damage to them, and it also inflicts damage to Talonflame, and if it uses a boosted attack after using Brave Bird, this will reset the cooldown for Flame Charge or Aerial Ace.
Talonflame's Unite Move is Flame Sweep, Talonflame will perform an aerial somersault before charging forward, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon in its path and shoving them.
At Level 11, Flame Charge or Aerial Ace will be upgraded, Flame Charge decreases the movement speed of opposing Pokémon for a short time when the move lands successfully, and Aerial Ace has increased damage.
At Level 13, Fly or Brave Bird will be upgraded, Fly throws opposing Pokémon that are in its area of effect when the move lands, and Brave Bird will have reduced recoil damage received when it lands.
Talonflame's Ability is Gale Wings, which gives it increased movement speed when its HP is at full. As Talonflame is a Speedster, it benefits from items like Float Stone, it can use the Scope Lens and Muscle Band to increase its Attack power and score critical hits, the Attack Weight is a helpful item, as it boosts Talonflame's Attack when it scores a goal. For Battle Items, Talonflame works well with either the Eject Button or X Attack based on the set used, its best moves are Flame Charge and Fly, as that works well with Talonflame's great Mobility stat, it has good Scoring, its Offense is kind of average, and it has very low Support. Brave Bird and Aerial Ace pair very well together, as Brave Bird resets the cooldown for Aerial Ace, and using Aerial Ace makes sure Talonflame's next basic attack is a boosted attack. As it doesn't have the best Endurance, it has a weak start, so the Middle Lane is recommended to level up until at least Level 7 when it learns its more powerful moves, its high Mobility is the one advantage in letting it defeat opposing Pokémon easily.
