This video was recorded about a week ago, around when Urshifu, the new Pokémon that was added in the update, was first added into the game. Between my previous Pokémon UNITE video and this one, Sableye was added into Pokémon UNITE, and I did record a video showcasing Sableye, but this is the Urshifu video, and I do show the Holiday Event, which is the same as last years where there is a Quick Battle special event in Shivre City where you can get items from Delibird, and they also brought back Ice and Snow in Remoat Stadium, which is the same as last year's event.
Going over Urshifu, it is an All-Rounder with two different playstyles, kind of like Scizor. It starts off matches as Kubfu, but you can choose which form of Urshifu to use based on the first move it learns at Level 5, its Ability as Kubfu is Inner Focus, which reduces the duration of hindrances to it. Its basic attack deals increased damage as a boosted attack every three hits, and its starting moves are Rock Smash, which deals more damage when charged, and Headbutt, a dash attack that leaves opposing Pokémon unable to act for a short time.
At Level 5, you can choose which form of Urshifu to play as, Wicked Blow lets you play as Single Strike Urshifu, which learns Throat Chop at Level 7, and if you choose Surging Strikes, you play as Rapid Strike Urshifu, and it learns Liquidation at Level 7.
Urshifu's Ability is Unseen Fist, which ignores the opposing Pokémon's shield effect when it deals damage to an opposing Pokémon with a shield effect, and for basic attack, Single Strike Urshifu gains a shield and its boosted move deals more damage, and Rapid Strike Urshifu deals increased damage with two consecutive blows and reduces its move cooldowns.
Wicked Blow can be charged, but it makes Urshifu move slower, and it deals more damage the longer it is charged, it deals more damage the lower the opposing Pokémon's HP is, and opposing Pokémon are left unable to act when hit by the charged move, and Throat Chop is a dash attack that leaves opposing Pokémon unable to act, and makes Urshifu's next basic attack a boosted attack.
For Rapid Strike Urshifu's moves, Surging Strikes has Urshifu dash at opposing Pokémon to deal damage, and can be used up to three times, any hits are critical hits and it throws opposing Pokémon, and its next boosted attacks heals Urshifu's HP when it hits, and Liquidation decreases the Defense of opposing Pokémon, and the strength of the shield is based on the number of opposing Pokémon hit by the move.
Urshifu's Unite Move is learned at Level 9, Single Strike learns Ebon Fist, which shoves the opposing Pokémon hit by the move, and if a direction is not picked, it instead throws opposing Pokémon, and it resets the cooldown for Wicked Blow. Rapid Strike Urshifu learns Flowing Fists, which shoves opposing Pokémon, and Urshifu's movement speed is increased for a short time, and when the Unite Move is used again, Urshifu deals five consecutive blows to the opposing Pokémon, and between activating the move and the follow-up move, every three times it deals damage to opposing Pokémon, the number of consecutive blows is increased by one, up to 10 times at maximum.
Level 11 is when Wicked Blow or Surging Strikes are upgraded, Wicked Blow reduces the damage Urshifu takes while charging, and when the move hits, opposing Pokémon are left unable to act, and when Urshifu uses the upgraded Surging Strikes, it takes less damage from attacks. At Level 13, Throat Chop or Liquidation are upgraded, Throat Chop has reduced cooldown when Wicked Blow hits, and Liquidation has reduced cooldown.
Urshifu has two different playstyles, the Single Strike Style is all about dealing huge damage to opponents, and the Rapid Strike Style can restore HP with Surging Strikes, making it better for a more defensive playstyle and getting in some combos on the opponent. Urshifu is a good user of two new items, Rapid-Fire Scarf increases the basic attack speed for a short time, and Drain Crown restores HP with Attack-based basic attacks. Urshifu is the first Legendary Pokémon to be playable in Pokémon UNITE, and before anyone says, Zeraora, Hoopa, and Mew are Mythical Pokémon, and Buzzwole is an Ultra Beast, which is not a Legendary Pokémon.
