Ranked Match Mode Guide - Ranking System
Ranked Match is a 5v5 game mode in Pokemon Unite (Pokemon MOBA). Guide includes ranking system, rules, all ranks list, ranked games, cup classes, how to unlock, ranks, & rewards!
Ranked Match Cup Tier Is Split Between Seasons
Ranked Matches will be separated by tiers called Cups, which are active for periods of time called Seasons. Player score & cup progression will only be counted for the duration of that season. This also means that some rewards may be season specific and will be unobtainable once the season ends.

Ranked Match Unlocks At Trainer Level 6
In order to participate in Ranked Matches, your Trainer level must be at Level. This should take you about an hour's worth of gameplay, so use that opportunity to practice different Pokemon and familiarize yourself with the game before starting ranked!
Need To Own At Least 5 Unite Licenses To Participate
You also need to own at least 5 Unite Licenses in order to participate in Ranked Matches. It will be necessary to have a roster of Pokemon you're capable of playing, so carefully consider which Pokemon you're going to use.
Divided Into Cups Of Different Skill Brackets
The bread & butter of the Ranked match system is the Cup tier system, where players winning matches and performing superbly will get to go up a Cup tier, while those that didn't win or perform will get down-ranked. Players will be drawn from the same or close-tier Cups for matches, ensuring only the same-skill players will be drafted to fight together.
Each Cup Divided Into Different Classes
To raise a Cup tier, players will need to advance Cup Classes. To ascend into a higher tier, players will need to get 3 Cup classes to advance from Beginner to Great,, 4 from Great to Ultra, and 5 matches to Ultra, Elite, and Master Cup.
May Have Lower Participation Requirement In Beta
Ranked matches are usually considered mid to high-tier challenges and players are usually required to meet some in-game criteria such as reaching certain levels before being able to participate. In the beta, however, this requirement was almost non-existent, possibly for smoother testing.
Rewards Aeos Coin
One confirmed reward for the Ranked match is the much coveted Aeos Coins that will be needed to buy all sorts of upgrades & items. Joining Ranked Matches may be an efficient way to get some Aeos coins quickly.
Also Rewards Trainer Levels
Participating in Ranked battles will also reward Battle Points to help increase your Trainer Level. Trainer levels will unlock more items, better upgrades, new Pokémon and even some features, such as Quick Battle.
