The Splat Bow in Splatoon 3
Splatoon 3: How Does the Splat Bow Work?
Thanks to the Nintendo Switch OLED Model trailer, we know a little more about the Splatoon 3 Splat Bow.

In the aforementioned trailer, we finally get a little more footage from the upcoming Splatoon 3. And it didn’t take long for in-depth analysis of the tiny clip to emerge online.

YouTuber Viantastic has taken a close look at the new Splatoon gameplay, and he’s got some interesting findings to report, regarding the Splat Bow.

We first saw the Splat Bow in Splatoon 3’s reveal trailer, but we’ve not had a clear idea about how it works – until now. According to Viantastic’s findings, the Splat Bow is, as predicted, a member of the Charger class.

Although this is only speculation, the Splat Bow appears to fire three vertical ink shots when the wielder is jumping. Alternatively, the blasts can fire horizontally when on the ground, likely to help with inking territory.

Like many Charger weapons, the Splat Bow is capable of packing a real punch and a vertical shot does appear to be a one-shot kill. However, Viantastic doesn’t believe that the horizontal fire will also be an instant splat.

When firing the Splat Bow, the ink travels incredibly fast, making it a lethal weapon in the right hands. But a partially-charged shot appears to arch in the air somewhat too, allowing for some skillful aiming.

It’s clear now that the Splat Bow will be an easy-to-use but hard-to-master weapon and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.

We know a lot of people are eager to try the title for themselves right now. However, we’ll have to wait and see if this Splatoon 3 leaked release date is accurate for the time being.

Recently, we also got big news about Splatoon 3’s upcoming maps – thanks to an official job listing at Nintendo.

If you’re wondering about picking up the new Switch hardware, it might be worth holding your fire. After all, this Nintendo employee recommends not buying the Switch OLED unless you like the screen.

If you, like many Splatoon players, play in docked mode, perhaps wait for the Nintendo Switch Pro to see some real benefit.
