In this part, we arrive at a new section of the region, the coast! And with it comes a new pokedex to fill up, even though we could just have one big pokedex... We catch all the new pokemon on Route 8, which has two parts: the cliff and the beach. We also explore Ambrette Town in the middle.

New Pokemon:
- Route 8 (Cliffs): Inkay, Taillow-, Wingull*, Spoink*, Zangoose*, Seviper*, Absol*, Bagon, Drifloon*, Mienfoo*
- Route 8 (Beach): Binacle*, Dwebble*
- Route 8 (Beach)(Old Rod): Luvdisc
*Taillow and Wingull are horde exclusive.
*Spoink and Drifloon are more common on the grass, while Mienfoo and Absol are more common in the yellow flowers.
*Zangoose and Seviper are a case similar to Plusle and Minun. X players can only find Seviper in a Zangoose horde and Y players, Zangoose on a Seviper horde.
*Dwebble and Binacle can only be found by smashing rocks.
