I was lucky caller 9 and got chosen to participate in a free for all battle in Pokemon XY. The event was hosted by Nappy.

VS. Recorder Code: CB5G-WWWW-WWW9-L9Z7

His channel can be found here:

And the link to the full FFA session I appeared in:

The name of the music track I used is "Extreme Music - Dark On Demand" which is a fitting track for this occasion. :D

Alright to describe what happened. I lead with Gardevior. I didn't know what pokemon Nappy would bring or lead with since he certainly didn't lead with a Gardevior in the past few battles that preceded mine (in the FFA session, I appeared halfway in around the 54 minute mark. ;) ).

The reason I decided to lead with her was because my usual lead the Doublade had one and possibly two moves banned by Smogon (as this was a OU and below match). The moves she had was Iron Head, Sacred Sword, Attract, and Swagger. Swagger was definitely banned and I wasn't sure about Attract. So I didn't use either moves in this battle. Due to that, I decided to instead lead with my Gardevior since she is also a shiny pokemon.

Both the Gardevior and the doublade were IV bread to near perfection. The Gardevior had 3 perfect IVs (Most of the normal ones hatched with 4 or 5, but the shiny happened to get the short end of the stick. But the stats were still great despite that) and she had a Modest nature which boosts Special Attack and lowers Attack which is a good nature for Gardevior since her special attack stat is much better then her physical attack stat)

The move she had was Psychic, Round (to bust through annoying sub users. :D ), Destiny Bond, and Confuse Ray. I might change Destiny Bond to something more useful in the future, but in this particular battle, that's what I ran with. It's nickname was Maleficent. Named after the evil fairy from the Sleeping Beauty story. But perticulary after the one in the recent remake where Maleficent is the main character instead of the Sleeping Beauty.

Because she was described as a fairy, it was a fitting name for a shiny Gardevior and that's the only name I will ever give to all future female Gardeviors. :D

The doublade was nicknamed "Nu-13" after a certain character in the BlazBlue series. The recent anime adaptation was the only one I saw her in as I believe the series exist mostly in the video game genre. Either way, she had a cool character design that revolved around 8 floating swords floating beside her in a wing like design and they would fly out to her opponent when she attacks.

Because Doublade (the second evolution of Honedge) is a pair of floating swords, it was a very fitting name since it hatched female.

As a matter of fact it was one of TWO shiny honedges I hatched from a single box of eggs. A mere 10 or less eggs apart from each other. This one hatched with Adement nature and 4 IVs (all 4 in areas that were desirable for this pokemon) and my second male shiny honedge hatched with 5ivs and Adement nature as well.

Since I nicknamed the female one Nu-13, I went ahead and nicknamed that one Ragna. I evolved that one to a Aegislash, while Nu-13 shall remain a Doublade.

As for the Snorlax. Nothing too special. He's the encounter from the bridge on route 7 (lolz) so he's got pretty average stats. I plan to try and breed a better one at some point.

Either way, I plan on changing his nickname to Totoro because they look quite alike and both are known for sleeping. :D

PeterGriffin was just a name I came up with at the moment I caught him as I couldn't think of anything better at the time. But don't worry, I will have his name changed soon! :D

Also, when I used Return on the Golurk, that was a mis-click. I meant to hit the Gardevior (which died from an Earthquake from the Golark, so the move would have failed either way), but I was too quick on selecting the moves and hit the empty space above her. Due to that, poor old stupid Peter Griffin decided to go for the Golurk instead. Not what I intended at all, but in the end it just extended the battle and made it more entertaining. Nappy's reaction to the move was what you would have expected. :D

The link the saved VS. Recorder recording of the video is present at the bottom of the video during the duration of the battle. Type that into your VS. Recorder and you can view it on your own 3DS. ;)
