Time to grab that last badge that will enable us to attempt (gee, I wonder if we will succeed) the Elite Four to become da very best! And now we face the ice-type specialist Wulfric (ice-type users have traditionally been trainers at the very end of the game, besides like Ice Fang Croconaw in Rival's hands in HG/SS).

Wulfric doesn't kid around and sends out Abomasnow, who will set Hail for the remainder of this short battle. We've already got used to Mega Abomasnow's contribution on this run so far, and now it's time to see him on the other side of the battlefield in the adversary's scheming hands.

But wait, why is there a lv. 49 Lucario leading the battle? Guess MoogleBoss found Wulfric to be too tough to overcome without breaking the challenge's rules and levelling up his lv. 32 Lucario; after all there aren't any other Lucarios out there available in the wild at that level. And this Lucario even knows Flamethrower? I guess our 0 exp uploader has hit an all-time low, though it's fairly obvious that since he cheated to set up the no exp playthrough he would cheat all the way. How pitiful!

...wait, WHO gained 1 exp? Oooooh.

I believe I had to give my Zoroark Charcoal to grab that OHKO by the way.

On the other hand, Scizor needs absolutely no help with OHKOing Cryogonal with priority Bullet Punch (Heart Scales are farmable so easily in Kalos), so it was my Amulet Coin holder (not that I need any more money at this point, what with items not being allowed in battle, but I just like seeing double the monetary reward at the end of a battle, it makes me feel more accomplished).

Cryogonal's inclusion here is pretty questionable. It's got no coverage to speak of - who is Flash Cannon supposed to counter, rock-types? Those aren't the most viable mons to use in-game, at all, and Mega Aerodactyl is weak to ice anyway (and would most likely outspeed and OHKO anyway)...

Finally, Avalugg is the last one standing with its humongous HP, attack and defence stat and very little in everything else. Now is the last time to effectively use the Mega Lucario that has served us so well during all this time. There's no threat of being OHKO'd by anything on the 1st turn in spite of the impressive level disadvantage, and Aura Pulse 2HKOs Avalugg, not caring about its Hail recovery with Ice Body.

You know what? They probably should've made this gym an Inverse battle gym or something. It would've given the underwhelming ice-type some sort of forte in the player's gym conquest of the game, and why introduce a feature that the player doesn't engage much in the course of the game? I guess this applies to all those triple and rotation battles, which weren't given that much space in BW/B2W2; at least double battles saw good application all the way back in Emerald.
