I've talked many times about my lifelong love of a certain vampire slaying, castle exploring franchise that I adore but am terrible at playing.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is just like one of those games, in fact it's made by a fella that made one of the most iconic of those games and you can absolutely tell within minutes of picking up the controls.

The art is beautiful.

The music magnificent.

The combat a whole lot of fun.

I. Love. This. Game.

I'm only a few hours in but if the year were ending next month, it'd be high on my games of the year list.
