After playing the new VR battle royale game on PCVR via Oculus Link I thought it was time to test out the Oculus Quest version of Population One and I was blown away by how close it is to the PCVR version & how smoothly it plays! Population One Quest 2 gameplay is wonderful, a little less crisp & with lower detail textures than its PCVR counterpart, but still just as playable & honestly maybe more enjoyable due to the face that Population One Quest 2 gameplay is fully wireless! This might be the definitive way to enjoy this game...

A fully fledged VR battle royale experience is finally here, Population One VR is a brand new battle royale experience exclusively for VR, you can climb anything, build cover, eat bananas and survive to be the last team standing is this all out action experience! For this video my Population One gameplay was captured using my Oculus Quest 2 and is a true reflection of Oculus Quest 2 Population One gameplay. I have played the Population One Quest 2 port and the Population One PCVR version & both are just as enjoyable and smooth as each other, the Oculus Quest version is a little less crisp but it plays just as well as the PCVR version.

I'll be the first to admit I am absolutely terrible at battle royale games, I can never seem to gel with them & very rarely do I managed to grab a win. In this Population One VR gameplay I'll try to get myself a win in my early experiences with the game as I share my Population One first impressions. It's incredible to me that a VR battle royale Quest 2 compatible game could be as immersive & expansive as this, we really are having an incredible year for VR gaming & the Oculus Quest 2 with it's already impressive line up of games & brilliant PCVR support is making VR gaming even more accessible for so many players. Population One, the first true VR battle royale, will surely only bring in even more players to the VR family, now is definitely the time to be a VR gamer!
