Our time with the Portal series has come to a close (in before a squeal gets announced) as we close out the last few puzzles and our final confrontation with Wheatley. I'll try not to spoil to many things within my final thoughts but I might so, as per usual, if you don't want anything spoiled, finish watching the video first.
So, My final thoughts. I actually really enjoyed this game even with some of those challenging puzzles at the end. After I finished the first game, I wanted to play more and more of Portal which this game definitely delivers. It offers a wide variety of new mechanics to the game (Gravity, the different gels, Faith Plates etc.) as well as more stuff to do after the main game. There is an entire section of Multiplayer stuff as well as community made maps to play on as well as creating your own; Lots of post-story line content. The graphics look great and I really do love the settings within this game; the destroyed and overgrown facility looked really cool, the underground, old facility was really nice. I do love the plot twists they added in the game like Wheatley betraying us and having to work alongside GLaDOS. The progression within the game felt really good; we get introduced to a new mechanic and then get to play around with it for a few rooms till a new one is introduced. Then, after they teach us everything, they start combining them which was cool. The puzzles themselves were both challenging and interesting to look at (and I only had to google like two or three of them to find out that I'm an idiot).
I would love to return to this game to do the multiplayer eventually but I'm not sure of when or with whom. I might do a few of the community made maps on a stream or something like that but, I do believe that this will conclude our time in Portal for now. I have to say that before Valve is like "hey, we can count to three, here is the next game".
