Portraits, the last short story on my list, and the shortest of the short stories.
Also, another classic.
Also again, also also, a double also if you will, this is my favorite short Creepypasta.
A perfect Creepypasta example of short and sweet.
It's short, it's sweet, it's smart, it's effective, and it's above all else, creepy.
A quick spook, the spookiest quickest spook can be some of the greats, and this truly is an example of this in my opinion.

Positive tiiiiiiiime.
As I've stated before, this story is what I view to be amazing with the efficiency of the quality per quantity amount.
While I don't read all too often, there are a few things in literature that I enjoy seeing the most.
Some of these things are effects such as "Show, don't Tell" and making the dialogue authentic and natural between characters.
Those are more so seen within larger novels and more in depth stories online, what I love with short stories, is when it's actually short, but effective in its attempt.
The reveal of the truth with the portraits was quick and precise with its explanation, with the incorporated details on how angry and realistic the faces were adds to the creepiness.
And the ending, hoi-lee dang, it was executed so well.
It could have ended with "Then I saw one eye blink" or something like that, but no, they were gone.
Where are they now?
ow long did they watch?
All we know is that there was once a group viewing the hunter, ironically playing the role of prey, and now they're... gone, without a trace.

This is only number 20, and this is the first story where I have no negatives with it.
So why is it only number 20?
The length.
I do love short stories, but their cap for greatness is only so high compared to medium and long length stories.
But I am proud to say that this is my absolute favorite short Creepypasta, and my 20th favorite Creepypasta in total.
