Possibilities after adding a USB type A port to a USB C or micro USB devices
Here, I have explained that whether what are the possibilities when you add a USB A type port to your smartphone having a USB C type port, or micro USB as well!
In this video, I have tried to explain what are the things that you can do, after adding a USB A type port to your device having C type port (Android phone taken as reference here).
Things that I did in this video with smartphone;
1. Added USB A pen drive, the same way you can add external storage devices like external Hard disks and external sata SSDs.
2. You can add wired or wireless gamepads, even the controllers which come with wireless 2.4 Ghz dongle (which are meant to be plugged to PCs, TVs and other devices) can be plugged (I have seen people saving money by not choosing the more expensive version of controllers or joysticks which was especially meant for phones, paired with bluetooth, instead they choose PC controller, with 2.4 Ghz wireless dongle, and bought a cheap type C to type A OTG)
3. You can deliver power by your phone (for phones supporting power delivery only), you transfer charge to your other phone.
4. I have even portrayed powering a DC motor.
In this video I have also talked about an useful app named ampere, it allows you to monitor the amount of current input (output as well), with what voltage the current input is taking place, what is the temperature of the device etc. and many more things.
