In the final episode of the game, Gus McPherson manages to infiltrate the house of Gregoire de Allepin, where he finds most of the answers to his questions - some of them provided by the dead body of Mr. de Allepin himself. Armed with lots of new knowledge on alchemy, Knights Templar, and the transfusion of one's life force into a different body, Gus finds the mysterious "Head of Baphomet" and presents the evidence to Inspector Lebrun, confirming the innocence of his new friend, Hellouin, and leading to the final denouement, bringing to a justful end the millennium-old hunt of "Gregoire de Allepin" for immortality.
