As usual, I completed all the sidequests the moment they popped up. Of note is Saisen's material quest, which will make more accessories available for crafting, though the ingredients require late game dungeons. Unlike me, try to get at least a Skill Ring III or IV for the upcoming boss fights.
I also went to get the monuments for the next areas, though I ended up crashing in a cutscene despite my lower OC. It's possible that the crash was due to the game rather than my OC, especially when other people reported crashing, unless they also had unstable OCs.
