The CascadeBadge (hex: 16, dec: 22) glitch item doubles the enemy Pokémon's catch rate each time you use it, just like in the Safari Zone but when used in a normal battle, enemy Pokémon will never flee. In this video I use the CascadeBadge seven times to change Mewtwo's catch rate from 3 to 255 (the same as Pokémon like Magikarp, Caterpie) before capturing it with a Poké Ball on full health. The enemy's catch rate can be viewed from memory address $D007 ($D006 in Yellow)

In Red/Blue, the CascadeBadge can be obtained by having a Bicycle in the fourth position of the bag and encountering a 94. This is possible with a name that will give a glitch Trainer (3rd, 5th, 7th letters give Pokémon/Trainers, see Glitch City's Big List), battling a Trainer roster 28h (i.e. the right-most Rocket on Silph Co. 11F) and then using the Old Man glitch to battle the glitch trainer (94 will be the sixth Pokémon but beware, the Pokémon are at high levels and Super Glitch can make the opponent keep sending out the same Pokémon. X Accuracy, X Speed (OHKO moves only work in Generation I if the user is faster) and Horn Drill/Fissure is recommended. X Accuracy gives all moves 100% accuracy in Generation I). This works because all glitch Trainers through the Old Man glitch have the same rosters and roster 28h happens to have a 94 as the fifth Pokémon.
