Predator: Killer of Killers Ending Explained by Director Dan Trachtenberg
Editor's Note: The following contains spoilers for Predator: Killer of Killers
Welcome back to the spoiler-filled half of our conversation with writer, director, and producer Dan Trachtenberg! If you missed the first half, check it out here for even more Predator: Killer of Killers talk. Now that Trachtenberg and co-director Joshua Wassung's anthology feature is available to stream on Hulu and Disney+, it's time to find out what that final scene means for the future of the Predator franchise.
When it was first announced late last year that there would be a follow-up to Prey, even before Predator: Badlands, we had no idea the writer-director would take us on not one but three different journeys through time, with some of Earth's fiercest warriors facing off against the deadly Predators. The R-rated Killer of Killers even ventures into the animation realm, allowing for tons of blood splatter, guts, flying heads, gorgeous fight sequences, and some impressive creature designs.
Now, talking with Collider's Steve Weintraub, Trachtenberg discusses that final scene, where we're wheeled through a massive warehouse of cryopods containing other collectibles. In the final shot, we hone in on the face of Naru, the Comanche healer played by Amber Midthunder in Prey. What does this mean for the franchise? Check out the conversation in the video above or the transcript below to find out what Trachtenberg has in store for us.
