25The story of "Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones" picks up where "Prince of Persia: Warrior Within" left off, with the Prince returning to his home city of Babylon alongside his love interest, Kaileena. However, their ship is attacked, leading to Kaileena's capture and the release of the Sands of Time once again. The Prince discovers that the Vizier, his old enemy from the first game, is responsible for the chaos.
The narrative unfolds in two parallel storylines. One part follows the Prince's struggle against the Vizier and his attempts to save Kaileena. The other part introduces a darker side of the Prince called the Dark Prince, a corrupted alter ego born from the Sands of Time. The Dark Prince serves as a secondary playable character, and players switch between the two throughout the game.
One of the major additions to the game is the introduction of dual character gameplay. Players alternate between controlling the Prince and his corrupted alter ego, the Dark Prince.
