Progress in Livestock Farming: Constructing a Cowshed & Securing Feed | Zielonka Farm | FS 22 | #12
331Welcome back to the Zielonka Farm Timelapse. Initially, our focus lies on marketing our finished goods, namely straw products and canned soups, produced by our enterprises. Upon securing profits from these sales, our intention is to expand into livestock farming on our farm. Our initial step in this endeavor is the procurement of forage grass. Having already prepared silage bales, we're currently investing in equipment for haymaking to further bolster our feed inventory.
Prior to gathering the bales, construction of a storage facility and barn is underway. With the bale stacker in tow, we proceed to collect silage and hay bales. Subsequently, our attention turns towards ensuring a robust forage base. With our wheat fields ripe for harvest, we deploy our combine harvester to gather wheat, simultaneously producing straw bales for storage.
Meanwhile, our milling operations persist, yielding not only flour but also pork feed. Consequently, we're constructing a pigsty alongside storage facilities for pallets of pig feed. Vital mineral additives are procured and integrated into the feed production process, enriching its nutritional value.
Equipped with a feeding robot, our barn is primed for efficient operations. Silage, hay, and straw are loaded into the receiving bins to facilitate the robot's function. As we acquire a hundred cows, we ensure their comfort with straw bedding, while the feeding robot ensures a consistent distribution of feed according to schedule.
