Welcome back to the HORSCH AgroVation Farm Timelapse. Today, our farm operations continue with the gathering of fodder. After completing the oat harvest for silage, our focus shifts to harvesting grass. Initially, we employ the MacDon M1170 mower to cut the grass across one of our fields. Subsequently, we utilize the FENDT KATANA 650 forage harvester to collect and finely chop the mown grass. The processed grass is then transported to the silo for fermentation.
Another method of utilizing grass for forage is through haymaking. To facilitate this, we have invested in a new KRONE BIG M500 mower to replace our older equipment. Additionally, we've acquired a POTTINGER HIT 16.18 T tedder, which we attach to the mower. With this upgraded technology, we can efficiently mow and spread the grass for drying across different fields.
