PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 - Dust Devil, when Doomslayer meets DOOM 3
PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 FEBRUARY UPDATE together with Dust Devil from Captain Toenail on the Man And A Half difficulty level, Chaotic Random spawn preset - the map is so large that it might take a toll on your CPU and GPU. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Dust Devil is a quite large adventure for you to play, the trip to reach the Artifact might take you even up to the hour of gameplay as I tried and map author estimates, a very nice but quite confusing levels. Maps also have custom monsters put, including very annoying and strange flying Chaingunners on drones that are luckily extremely fragile, spooky gray Cacodemons that shoot three fireballs, Zombie Grenadiers and more annoyances. There are custom monsters placed as the 'guardians' of the keycards placed around first and second maps (yes, you must travel twice between the levels because two of the keys needed are behind the portal's second map). First red keycard is guarded by the Spider Mastermind (but mostly because of Project Brutality there is a compatibility issue when it gets stuck), destroy it and the red lasers will be offline, giving you a pass to the teleporter. Second blue keycard is located in the same level but in one of the buildings, once you are close to pick it up several high tier monsters will spawn with cannon fodder, be careful because there is a damn Tyrant outside that guards an exit. You will come back to the base with a blue key to open the path to the last needed key, guarded by twin Cyber Brothers - and they have a pretty nasty surprise for you, their shields block everything but thankfully, guys are slow. Their shield works only in front of them so their backs are completely exposed but they have a quite large pool of health so it might take some time till they are down, also their grenade launchers are really powerful against Slayer. Once both of them are down, the yellow laser will be deactivated and you are able to return to the place once you started your playthrough - but do not feel so comfortable because even more monsters will spawn on your path, lots of them. Both of the maps also have a fantastic system of checkpoints made of blue hovering floppy disks, once you touch them, a quicksave is created, no worry because you can use it multiple times for every single one of them.
