555PROJECT BRUTALITY 3.0 and Corrupted Cistern by Lutz for DOOM II Hell On Earth on the Man And A Half Difficulty Level, Chaotic Random spawn preset, 100% Secrets Achieved. Project Brutality 3.0 is an upcoming version of one of the best available mods for the classic Doom - expect a lot of fun when playing it. Please note that the Project Brutality 3.0 in its current state is still Work In Progress, so bugs are to be expected, together with crashes to desktop (same with addons, they are not 100% always compatible and actual). Corrupted Cistern level is a pretty dark map with some mazes because the textures and areas might seem familiar whenever you navigate around, it's good to play this map few times to get in use with level's layout. The level's difficulty ranges from moderate to difficult because vast open areas are almost non existent at all, and most of the situations are at almost point-blank range plus some monsters can ambush you. The most troublesome areas are these tight small corridors with water below, the enemies are hidden almost everywhere behind every corner, and these are quite dangerous situations where you are cornered by a Baron for example. It is crucial while playing this map to get all of the secrets because health and armor is really scarce here, same with the ammunition that might get depleted rather quick for your Assault Rifle, shotgun shells are more common. To finish the level you need to find three skull keys scattered around, finding a blue and yellow is not too difficult and it's a quick job but when you aim to find all of the secrets and eliminate as many monsters as possible it takes more time. For example, a yellow skull key is a very quick trop to the right during the maze area, then you aim for the room with Hell Knights inside and poof, first key is found without much exploring of the map, that's why Par Time is set at 03:20. The blue skull key is located to the left of the maze, you need to run through an open area with a beautiful water cavern and then enter a large room with key inside, grab it and return - since then you can proceed to the final arena with red key. As I've mentioned earlier about the secrets, there are four and all of them include pressing a hidden skull switch nearby to open a concealed door to find a Megaarmor (twice) and Soulsphere (also twice) with some smaller bonus around too. To grab the red key needed for an exit, you must enter a final arena that is vastly bigger than anything you found previously in this level, few dozens of monsters and a Cyberdemon waiting in the center of it.
