Project CARS Build 967 - Ford Escort MKI RS1600 at Horse Thief Mile w/ 7 AI at 70% - Spectator View
My return to the gamepad was a sweet one! It's been about 150 builds since I last used a gamepad, and it was good then, but has been improved dramatically since!
I've always felt that Forza had the best gamepad support of any semi-realistic racing game I've ever played, but Project CARS has really taken it a notch up! As a full on racing sim, with the realism turned all the way up (other than auto clutch), this game works with the gamepad fantastically!
Still, a proper force feedback wheel with 900 degrees of rotation is the best way to become fully immersed in the game, but the gamepad is a fully viable way to play the game. Before now, I would never play the game without setting up my wheel, but now the gamepad is good enough to play with even when I don't feel like setting up my wheel!
As for the race, I burned up my front left tire way too quickly. Not sure how that happened, but the race was downhill from there. The car became increasingly harder to control. Still, I held my own to some degree. The race was a good battle, with some really exciting moments. If I hadn't burned up that tire, the race probably wouldn't have been nearly as exciting, lol.
