Fog of War! ...Dammit! There's quite a few Pegasus Knights as enemies too, so they can fly over the mountains and gang up on you fairly easily. Just have to progress slowly and deal with what comes. Some of the enemy reinforcements in this stage are pretty deadly, but they appear so far behind you have to go out of your way to actually run into them. Which I did, just for the extra EXP.

The boss for this stage is a Pegasus Knight, Sigune. She's interesting, there aren't very many Pegasus Knight bosses in the entire franchise, especially ones that don't end up being playable. She's sympathetic here too, assuming the worst of Lycia and siding with Bern only because she's thinking of it as the lesser of two evils. I'd have liked her to be recruitable, but oh well. She has a Delphi on her, so if you brought a thief across this entire stage, you can steal a second off of her. I didn't, because I couldn't see her on the map and didn't know she had it until I was already next to her and 50 minutes into the stage. I looked her up after playing the stage and noticed she had dialogue with Thea and Shanna, and also even gets referenced in other supports. A shame I didn't think to have Thea fight her to see what was said, but I'm sure you can find that online if you looked.

We get Niime at the start of this stage, who I actually used a fair amount just to have a Dark tome user to get some use out of all the Dark tomes I'd be collecting and the legendary one we get later. Niime has pretty good bases, but is only 1 level away from hitting her cap and her growths are so low her singular level up won't amount to much. But she starts with an S rank in Dark tomes and an A rank in staves, so she can use most staves and ALL Dark tomes right out of the box. Her starting Mag is 26, so its high enough to do a number on the enemy, and with 20 Spd, she at least won't be doubled by anything that's not promoted. With Nosferatu equipped, she can even regain HP on counterattack so it'll help with her survivability a lot. That said, her HP is a meager 30, so she can't take that much damage to begin with. Her not requiring EXP is also something of a blessing, because it makes it easy to just slot her in when you have a spare slot open without any need of investment.
