This stage, I made a point to use a lot of the stuff I had been saving, since I knew the next stage wouldn't really be great for it and the last stage was basically just a single room boss fight. There are a lot of Wyvern Riders that charge you here, so pelting them from afar did help with that, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was in Ch. 21. There's also some long range enemies here, such as ballistae operators and mages with status ailment staves.

At the start of this stage, we can choose to let Guinevere fight with us or not. If you do...then she does and joins as a Sage. She's alright, and joins with a Fortify and a Purge siege tome. Good base stats and at LV8, so she has room to grow. There's just not much game left for her to grow. If you refuse her, then she won't join, but Eliwood will show up. I haven't seen him in game, but apparently he starts at LV20 with stats in the 20-24 range with a unique sword. I went with Guinevere because I expected to get more use out of her than Eliwood. Also because tits.

Galle will show up as an enemy, if he survived Ch. 21. Unlike that stage, he'll actively try to kill you. Will even try to kill Melady, so you have to be careful luring him amongst the other Wyvern Riders and staying out of range of enemy ballistae. Melady can recruit him. Galle is pretty good, with high stats in every thing that matters except Spd, which is average. Hard Mode bonuses can push his HP past the cap. He's a unique class of Wyvern Lord, capable of using bows. This makes him phenomenal at taking down enemy Wyvern Riders. A shame there's hardly any left in the game, but hey. He also comes with a Delphi, which is nice.

And of course there's Karel, who joins if you visit the village on the right with either Fir or Bartre. he's pretty much the same as he was in regular FE6, with good base stats and 1 level away from cap. All of his growths are over 100% or higher, so he'll level up every stat with that single level, and can potentially level them twice. (10% chance to level HP 3 times, even. Res is only 100%, so that'll only go up +1.) Got a unique sword with high crit now too.

I noticed that the boss of this stage wasn't actually on the seize point, it was a generic Manakete...that actually moved off of it when I got in range. So, just out of curiosity, I deliberately left the boss of this stage, Brunya, alive to see what would happen. Absolutely nothing. But I guess you can headcanon that she managed to survive for this run. I had to waste a Warp staff usage to get someone past her, but its not like I was really going to use it at this point anyways.
