First test of my DIY Geiger counter prototype I call 'Project Gizmo'! This is the breadboard prototype of my project, the next stage will be to build onto protoboard and then design a PCB using EasyEDA. I hope for the final product to be an IoT-enabled WiFi automated Geiger counter with remote logging and a realtime clock to keep track of reading intervals.

Here you can see and hear the pulses of radiation detected by the STS-5 GM tube! Apologies for the high frequency ringing you can hear in the video, this is due to the 555 timer frequency, I will look into it.
