Project M - The Showdown
I don't really like Project M, but I figured I would do a P:M equivalent of The Showdown.
For settings, to replicate The Showdown in Melee as much as possible:
Stock is set to 3, with team attack off of course, with the stage being Final Destination.
Ganondorf and Mewtwo are set to level five, and Giga Bowser to level six, the same levels they are in Melee's Showdown.
Items are set to medium, with the following items being turned off (which are items turned off in Melee's Showdown or follow the trend of being containers/healing items/overly powerful items that didn't appear in Melee's Showdown):
Smash Balls
Containers
Blast Boxes
Sandbags
Food
Maxim Tomatoes
Heart Containers
Dragoon
Super and Poison Mushrooms
Starmen
Turbo
Timers
Lightnings
Hammer and Golden Hammers
Home-Run Bats
Soccer Balls
Team Healers
Well, even with the c-stick being useable, it's much more difficult here. For one the AI actually dashes now, so instead of slowly plodding along they're in your face constantly and you'll get swarmed much more easily. The AI also of course doesn't fight in a simple predictable manner this time around, and even defend themselves without being level nine. All opposing characters are also buffed in Project M, especially Giga Bowser, who is a real treat to kill you now instead of just being a far reaching jabber that traps you. His f-smash is broken, having super armor, a giant hitbox, and being capable of killing you under 50%. The AI is even more prone to SDing though (I haven't been able to play through a single match without one of them SDing), so that will help ease the difficulty a bit.
