This was rather easy with Ness. Unlike in Brawl, bair doesn't have hitlag issues here, so you can spam it safely (though since stale-move negation applies in Melee's 1P mode, you have to mix it up to maintain optimal damage output), and Ness' midair jump is great here for evading the Hands' attacks. Even Ness' recovery is a plus this time, as the extra time it takes for PK Thunder to complete allows you to safely stall the Hand Drill offstage, while then counterattacking for a hefty 25% blow.
