All the gameplay footage in this video review was recorded in 60fps for the PC, any hiccups you see are a result of the recording software. Anyway Its about time I finally tackled one of my favorite genres of gaming; the boomer shooter. Project Warlock is the best retro shooter I have played in a long time. This is the first game developed under Buckshot Software, a fledgling indie game studio run by a zoomer named Jakub Cislo. I joke buts its pretty amazing that one of the best retro FPS games you can play right now was created by such a young person.

If it wasn't blatantly obvious Project Warlock wears its Doom influence right on its sleeve. The retro pixel graphics may turn some people off but it fits the gameplay well. I think a lot of people are too hard on pixel graphics because so many indie games use it as a crutch. In Project Warlock the old school graphics sell the fast paced gameplay for a newer generation. It you missed out on 90's FPS games this will take you back to that era!
