Even though James had killed Gentek's Hydra, Phase Two still remains a mystery. Heller through the disguise of Viper 1, gets in contact with Rook and he instruct him to escort a Gentek researcher named Bellamy why leaving the Yellow zone to the Green zone.

After receiving the researcher's location, Heller head there to sabotage his convoy and kill Dr Bellamy before consuming the knowledge about Phrase 2 from his head.
