The city of New York Zero was a battlefield of blood and shadow. Blackwatch soldiers roamed the streets, their guns trained on the infected hordes that spread like wildfire. Above it all, a lone figure stood atop a crumbling skyscraper—Sergeant James Heller.
Heller was once a devoted soldier, a family man. Until Blackwatch’s experiments and the virus took everything from him—his wife, his daughter, his purpose. Left with nothing but rage, he hunted the one responsible for it all: Alex Mercer, the original carrier of the Blacklight Virus.

But fate had a cruel sense of irony.
When Heller finally confronted Mercer, the man didn’t kill him. Instead, Mercer infected him, transforming him into something… more. The virus coursed through his veins, reshaping his body into a weapon of destruction. Tendrils erupted from his arms, claws formed where fingers had once been, and his strength became inhuman. He was no longer just a man—he was a predator.
Determined to use his newfound power for revenge, Heller tore through the city, consuming Blackwatch soldiers and infected alike, uncovering the truth piece by piece. Mercer wasn’t the savior he claimed to be. He sought to reshape the world, turning humanity into his own twisted vision of evolution.
With every enemy Heller consumed, he grew stronger, unlocking new abilities—massive tendrils, devastating shockwaves, and the power to shapeshift into his victims. But power came at a cost. The more he fought, the more he questioned if he was any different from the monster he sought to destroy.
In the final battle, Heller faced Mercer in a brutal clash of titans. Buildings crumbled, the ground cracked, and the city trembled beneath their fury. But in the end, Heller proved stronger. With one final, savage blow, he consumed Mercer, ending his reign once and for all.
The virus was still inside him. The power still his to command. But for the first time in a long time, Heller had a choice.
He would use it to destroy Blackwatch, to protect what was left of the innocent, and maybe—just maybe—find his own redemption.

The monster had won. But the man still had a fight left in him.
