I wanted to see if SNK vs Capcom: SVC Chaos on PS2 might have the same AI quirk that The King of Fighters 2002: Unlimited Match does, namely that the AI tends to avoid using its super meter in the first round of a fight--and so will usually not use it at all in a single-round match! That would be super-handy for me since my eyes have taken a dislike to the flashing FX that go along with SNK's super moves. ; )

Alas, the AI in SVC Chaos is perfectly happy burning its super meter in the first round. ; ) Ah well! Here's the modes in which I tried single round fights and stuff:

04 - Option. Starting on Difficulty 8 was probably a mistake. ; ) But the smarter AI would definitely use its supers the most, maybe? Also I switched the graphics from Arcade to Normal, in case that might alter the flashy FX somehow--but all it does as far as I can tell is add some edge antialiasing, and transparency to fireballs and stuff.
31 - Arcade mode - as Kasumi. Boxer burns a first round super in the very first match, at 1:25. : P And that's pretty much a wrap. ; ) But I guess we might as well test a little more in case it was a fluke. : P (It wasn't, the experiment is a failure.)
53 - continued as Ryu
23 - continued as Hugo (darn that difficulty 8 Boxer! : P)
51 - Arcade as Iori (oh dear its Claw ;_;)
24 - continued as Mr. Karate
00 - continued as Boxer (aha! : P Also, this alt color Boxer w/ yellow gloves is kinda cool)
45 - Survival as Kyo (Kim starts things off w/ a super, 12:25 :P)
54 - Survival as Dan : P
09 - Survival as Violent Ken
56 - lowered difficulty to 6 : P
25 - Practice mode VS CPU (as Orochi Iori, then random characters)

So nope, the AI in this game uses supers quite happily in the first round, so I can't get away with playing it super-flash-free by just playing 1-round matches. : P
