I guess this is why humanoid bosses normally had shields. If this guy had a shield, this wouldn't have happened. If this guy had a counterattack, this wouldn't have happened. If this guy could fly, this wouldn't have happened.
Per tradition, slightly Facetious Discussion Points Remaining:
Why couldn't Iron Man install a flinch guard, recoil damping, or something?
Why does his Afterburner turn off in closed spaces? To prevent MASSIVE CONCUSSION? How about turning Weapons off in unoccupied areas... oh there aren't any. :-)
Why are regular bullets so bad at auto-aiming?
While calling it dying, I commend the game for making it harder to not actually lose progress. However, I feel that the first-time player will not consider what I considered as "death" and thus conclude that Iron Man is immortal.
Why didn't Tony Stark install a bigger health gauge?
Why didn't Tony Stark invert his left and right? The reason why moving the control stick right should move the camera left is because it's a control stick, which should psychologically be pointed away from the perceived direction of action, much like a video camera on a stick.
Why is there no checkpoint before Horgan?
How did AIM manage to accrue an infinite number of helicopters? Surely, Big Metal Supply is tapped by now.
I don't believe any human in this game had any human traits except for the three good guys.
Why does Pepper's mouth fly open as if she's chewing gum while speaking?
Why does Tony Stark's A.I. provide trivial responses to Stark's queries? That should be an easily controllable parameter. I guess you could just chalk it up to his alcoholism.
Not featured in this movie: alcohol. That's one thing I do know about Tony Stark: he's an alcoholic superhero.
How many kilowatt-hours were used for that proton cannon?
Are the spent fuel depots in Russia still sealed or did someone open them to see if anyone inside is still alive?
Launches millions of rockets, uses EMP weapons, but Nuclear energy is senseless destruction.
Hey there, blue stuff.
Why is the battle zone ceiling so low? Why can't I fly over these guys to get a vantage point?
Why couldn't I have flown over the dam in mission 11/over the metal door in the beginning stage?
Whatever happened to Dr. Wily? I don't remember him dying, unless he worried himself to death after not being able to take control of my circuitry.
Whatever happened to the Flying Fortress? Did it crash land somewhere safe, or did we just turn the entire thing into vapor?
How long do you reckon it took them to build the proton cannon?
Yes, the "IRON" vs. "iEarn" thing is a joke on common English pronunciation. I contend that iron and irony should have similar pronunciations just as fire and ire should.
Honestly, more fun than Minority Report. It wasn't six years of innovation better than Minority Report, but still more fun.
Stane: "It's ironic. I've chastised you through the entire game only to have the biggest AI exploit of all."
Stark: "Where's my actual final boss?"
Stane: "Don't worry about that. Worry about blue stuff. It's what you're best at."
Stark: "For God sakes, Obadiah, you don't have any blue stuff."
Stane: "You should have given me that suit, Tony. Then this would have happened so much sooner."
Top Five things in this game:
Mission 12 (Electronics Temple)
Whitney Frost's Wi-Fi wall battle.
Mission 8 (Frozen Warship)
Thunderbolt Rockets (f/ the electric slide).
Non-punitive death system.
