(PS3 60fps) Marvel vs. Capcom 2 single-player 1/1/17
Mashing buttons and stuff in the PS3 version of Marvel vs. Capcom 2! I have no real idea of how to play the game, but this was one of two fighting games games whose audio-visual presentation just blew me away back in the day--can't remember if I saw it on Dreamcast or in the arcade first--(the other game was Samurai Shodown 2, some years before) and to this day the massive cast, huge, rapid-fire sprites, bouncy music, and zany sense of fun--rather different from the much more serious earlier games in the vs. series--still grabs me. In single-player, the difficulty curve feels more sensible than in the prequel, the game speed just feels right, and the controls feel more efficient and responsive. And even though it still beats me down pretty good, and I know at high levels the game has some reputation for being unbalanced among the various characters, at my scrub level, the game just feels like it's all about fun!
Streamed from a PS3 with an Elgato Game Capture HD.
