PS4 Guide - How to Create Custom Wallpapers and Set as Background on Playstation 4
PS4 firmware update 4.50 comes in. The software upgrade lets you make your very own backgrounds - but how do you create custom wallpapers on PlayStation 4? Allow us to quickly explain the process.
How to Set as Background on PS4
Here's how you can set your own personal background on the PS4:
Go to Capture Gallery
Go to Capture Gallery and find the screenshot that you want to set as your custom wallpaper - you'll obviously need to have taken some screenshots first using the share button.
Select 'Set as Background'
Push the Options button and select 'Set as Background'. This will bring up a new screen with two options: 'Make Function Area Dim' and 'Select Colour'. 'Make Function Area Dim' basically makes it so text on the top half of your main PS4 menu is easier to read. It might be a good idea to enable this option if you've selected a particularly bright screenshot to be your wallpaper.
'Select Colour' lets you choose from eight different colours. The colour your select will show up in menus where your wallpaper isn't visible.
Click 'Apply'
Hit that apply button and there you have it: one custom wallpaper for your PS4.
