On rails fmv shooter. The video quality of the fmv is very poor in this version of the game. Severe macro blocking makes some bits incomprehensible.
The game can be infuriatingly difficult. When you are being shot at its often before the enemy is on screen. So if you are already low health and there is an enemy on your tail, you can be sure that you wont last long if it decides to fire before flying past you. This happens a lot in the game and its ot like you get a whole lot of time to pick your targets when you cant easily tell which on screen enemy is the one firing at you.
I have played on Normal, but I did try hardmode to begin with. I found it far to frustrating as I have to memorise exactly which enemy is shooting else the energy bar just gets eaten away. Also, level 3 where you fly over a mountain, you only get half a fuel tank for thrust. The problem with this level is, there is no way to know if you cleared the obstacle until you are past it. Another issue is, you have to thrust long before the obstacle so you unless you know the exact point in which to thrust, you simply do not have enough fuel.
There is no score to worry about or lives as if you die you start at the beginning of the level and persevere through memorisation. oh and, no checkpoints at all. The whole game is essentially a space opera. -
