Essence of the Nadir is an equippable accessory for your wizard class units, unlocked for all factions at player level 12 or 13 (I think). It gives your wizard the ability to summon Purple Sun for 7 aether at range 2. It can only be used once per match.
The Purple Sun is an endless spell that is controlled by the player who summoned it as long as the wizard who cast the spell is alive. Should the wizard die the spell goes wild and moves at random. The purple sun absorbs the health of adjacent units (both friendly and enemy), adding it to its starting pool of 10 hp. Once it hits 19 it unleashes an explosion dealing 7 damage to units up to 3 spaces away. It can move one space per turn (unless it is hit with knock back or pull abilities). It has an ability where it can loose three health and do a five damage attack at range 2, cooldown of 2.
This spell immediately takes up all the attention of both players in a multiplayer match of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground. It has enormous potential for destruction for both sides and can be an extreme liability even for the side that summoned it because it can be hit with knock back effects sending it into our own units.
