Puyo Puyo Fever, known as Puyo Pop Fever outside of Japan, is the fifth mainline Puyo Puyo game, which introduced Fever mode. But everyone knows what it is by now. Haha.

This is a gameplay of the game's WakuWaku Course, but... I still wonder why they still can't officially call the single-player mode "Scenario Mode" outside of Puyo 1, that term got stuck in my head for a while. Anyways, Amitie is looking for Ms. Accord's lost flying cane to get a reward from her. What do you think of Arle?

If the later Puyo games were localized I bet we could have more "Ready steady go!" and "Get really real!" from Amitie, but... that died out because of Puyo Puyo Tetris or 20th Anniversary.

Also, normally I play the games on the Easy VS. COM level, but I set it to normal this time. Yet it still seems too easy.

It's no surprise that the NAOMI arcade board was based on Dreamcast hardware, so many similarities. The Dreamcast version also had VMU displays that would change depending on the stuff happening in the game. This was also Sega's last game developed for the console.

This version of Puyo Puyo Fever was not released outside of Japan, but you were still able to change the language to English (and make it Puyo Pop Fever). That's nice for those not understanding that language, although I do know some Japanese words by playing the games.
