This gameplay video shows the Mission and Exercise Modes in the Game Gear version of Puyo Puyo. Mission Mode is where- like in the 1991 versions of the game, you are given a preset board and will most likely have to use it to meet a certain goal. I was stuck on level 6 for many times but then I finally got passed it, now I'm stuck at 9. Mission Mode was expanded into another Puyo Puyo game for the Game Gear called "Nazo Puyo", which I most likely won't record as I might just fail a lot on the later levels. Aaand Exercise Mode, where, you guessed it! - you exercise your Puyo skills in an endless game- well, it will end when the screen fills, of course. And don't forget Carbuncle and the Big Puyo! I've been thinking they were together for a long time, since in many later games they were seen together in Carby's victory cut-in, as well as some artworks.

I decided to play the translation for this video to see how it was like. Scenario Mode was called "1 Player Game" because, yeah, it's one player, 1P vs. 2P mode was called "Versus Game", Exercise Mode was called "Endless Game" because, yeah, it's the real name and doesn't end, and Mission Mode was called "Quest Mode", because... like... you're on a quest to complete puzzles. Well, many people called it Quest Mode, so I don't really give a bad heck about it. The game was also called "Puzlow Kids", with Puyos being called "p-kids". The most infamous thing about this translation was that Satan became Dark Prince, seen in Scenario's Mode ending dialogue, it's just like the one in the English arcade version.
