In order to fight CPU opponents in max or core difficulty, you have to cheat, somewhat. In my opinion, it makes the battle kinda annoying. The opponent focuses on digging through the garbage lines. If you intend on battling them, you really got to lay the hammer hard because as soon as you're ready to make that T-Spin or Tetris Clear, they're already through most of the garbage lines!

Here's a match where I take on Ess, as Ex, without using a combo setup. I'm surprised I actually beat her. xD
