Playing around with a "sandbox" Quake 1 mod, that is a mod that allows you to place enemies/items on a map at will. Given that it didn't take much to get to grips with the controls, I would put this on the "rather intuitive" scale.
It offers some nice maps to play around (as you can see in the video), plus a full array of enemies/items/weapons to place on them!
