Quad FPV - how Naza handles the wind
With flying days few and far between, we ventured out into the gusty cold wind, got cold, and had some flights full of panic and worry. On the plus side, you get to see how well your model can handle some conditions.
I thought this was a useful illustration of how the Naza compass works. Most people thing of the GPS add on being used for GPS hold, and RTH, but it also handles course correction. Basically the compass knows if you are holding your stick in a certain direction, then you should go that way, so Naza makes corrections to ensure you don't drift off the compass line. In a windy day, as you'll see, this means flying around at curious angles.
With thanks to krikey for his ground station recording (although I didn't get the same level of breakup on the turn in my goggles)
