The Quake 2 RTX Remaster version was released today and as I own a copy of the original Quake 2 and a RTX 2080 I thought I give it a try.

The raytracing effects do indeed look really nice. especially the water or the glass reflections are very nice and also the godrays the shine through the windows when the sun is visible.

Game runs pretty smooth with around 75-90 FPS on my system.

This videos shows the parts from the beginning ("Outer Base") to the end of "Comm Center" (including the secret level "Lost Station").
