With how beloved of a franchise Doom is people seem to forget about Id Software's other masterpiece of a franchise Quake. Quake has underwent several changes to its identity since the first game was released back in 1996 and none of the games in the series stick out more than Quake 4. Not because its a bad game or a game that is totally different to other Quake games, but because of how Id Software has decided to ignore its existence over recent years.
