Quake Beta Pre Release 11 Jun 1996 - Alternate Chthon and Final Level
277So this is what I got when asked for Quake. Later when I bought it, I found a slightly different game. This Pre-Release is dated 11 Jun 96. The maps are mostly final, with small changes here and there.
You'll notice:
00:00 Different menus and sounds
00:05 Missing stuff in the menus, No console background
01:05 Doom teleport flash
01:20 Chthon uses an alternate skin 01:20
02:43 E3M3 is E3M7
02:51 E3M7 is E3M5 and has no monsters
03:02 E3M4 is E3M3 and has the exit right at the beginning
03:19 Last level is completely different (and sucks)
05:54 No Deathmatch Maps
