A 3 second improvement over the previous record by Gustav L.
This is a run that I had been attemping on & off for a while now,
ever since it was theorized by Fodder a few years ago. The idea was
to have the Spawn clip through the bars and hit the trigger below
to skip a large portion of the level. After having learnt the idea
of how this trick worked, it just came down to blind luck for this
to happen fast enough to actually save time.
Jukspa featured this trick in his full-game TAS and calculated that
there was a 1 in 20 million chance of getting the fastest clip and
trigger activation. While this isn't quite as fast as the TAS, it
still took a few thousand attempts to improve brainfluid's record
time of 0:41 using the traditional route.
At the end of this run was a fatal mistake, I was so nervous and
terrified of failing the jump from Quad to the final platform that
I didn't re-adjust my position to avoid the end bars past the final
door. This would have been 0:37 without that mistake.
