Hello there! That run was quite the painful grind—putting it mildly. Honestly, this episode is probably the second most optimized one after E4, so I had to pull out some seriously wild strats to make this record happen. One of the biggest changes was a completely different route in E2M2, which saves about 1–2 seconds. It’s insanely RNG-heavy and incredibly hard to pull off, but at this point, that’s what it takes—we’re basically implementing segmented-level strats now. Regular routing just doesn’t cut it anymore; all the easy timesaves have been squeezed dry.
Outside of that major E2M2 reroute, the overall path has stayed relatively unchanged since the last time Muty braved this godforsaken episode. That said, one highlight I have to mention is my gorgeous E2M4. It was nearly flawless—something I rarely pull off—and I managed to get the splush at the start!
Huge shoutout to @MattsRamblings for helping me with a reliable “fiend-jump” setup near the end of E2M2. That part was really getting under my skin, so Kipi really came in clutch—thank you!
